When will the Cape Green Link™ be operational?
Cape Green Link™ - Commercial operations begin in late December 2030. Construction of the transmission infrastructure and mega solar PV Mine is scheduled to commence in phases from late 2028 to 2030 with final commissioning end of 2032.

2. What is the Gold Power Passport, and how do I get it?
Answer: The Gold Power Passport is for 2 million Western Cape households that register and sign an exclusive PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) with Solektrika. The Gold Power Passport grants the holder the right to receive uncapped electricity per month at a fixed tariff of R2.88 / kWh (Incl. VAT) in 2030 - for life. Yes, this is correct.
